ITINERARY: 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech

DAY 1 : TANGER – RABAT :

Depending on your way of transportation (by ferry or airplane); upon arrival at Tanger our driver/guide will pick you up, and we will start together our wonderful tour, towards our first destination of the day, Rabat, Morocco’s political and administrative capital, a city with plenty of charm with its clean central beach, and an intact and evocative Kasabah, and an attractive walled Medina. on the road will will pass by a wonderful city famous as the main port of the Spanish protectorate in 1911, a city know by its multiculturalism as we can remark the layout of the old town is typically Moorish, while houses in the new town seem to be Andalusian in style. When arrived at Rabat, we are going to drive into the old town, surrounded by it ramparts, the Medina (Jewish quarter). Also the 17th century fortress of Oudaya Kasbah, with a splendid 12th century where you are going to enjoy lunch; after a quiet stay we will resume our exploration to see Almohad gateway, an Andalusian garden, and an adjoining Madrasah (religious college), that house a museum of Moroccan art, and of course some outstanding historical structures, including the Tower of Hassan, and the mausoleum of Muhammed V. night in Rabat.

DAY 2 : RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FEZ :

After spend 1 night in this medieval city Rabat, it is time to leave it behind. Our target today is to the city Fez, On our road, that takes 4 hour’s drive. We will pay a visit to the Volubilis site, the Roman ruins. Another Unesco World Heritage Site, one of the largest and most important archaeological sites in Morocco, built-in a fertile agricultural area and developed from the 3rd century BC., then we are going to continue towards a city of Meknes, where you are going to see famous historical gate of Bab Mansour, also the second known plaza in Morocco after the plaza of Jamaa El-fna in Marrakech, the plaza of Lehdim, next you are going to see the Basin of Sahrij Souani, and explore the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After that will continue to Fez for night.

DAY 3 : FEZ SIGHTSEEING :

After your breakfast at your riad, you meet your local guide and the exploration of Fez begins. You start with the Royal Palace, founded back to the foundation of the new Fez. Then Mellah, the Jewish quarter, where you see a 17th century synagogue. Also the University of Al-Qaraouine, founded as a Mosque, then became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of historic Muslim world.
As well as, Chouara Tannery, the largest and oldest at oldest medina quarter of the city, surrounded by leather shops with terraces from where you look down into the pits.
Furthermore, you will take a walk around old souks (markets) of Fez, and wonder between the narrow alleys of the old Medina. Have an amazing lunch in one of the narrow streets in the heart of the old Medina. After that, you drive to the north highest place in Fez, from where you will have an incredible view of the old Medina, in addition to visiting the Moroccan Pottery and Ceramics with real professional local craftsmen. Later on, will pick you up back to your hotel/riad and spend night in Fez.

DAY 4 : FEZ – CHEFCHAOUEN – TANGER :

After your breakfast we will leave the city of Fez towards our next destination Tanger passing by farmland and, tiny Berber village, before reaching out the spectacular Rif mountains with some breath-taking views. Then continue our way via Ouazzan town, where a possible lunch is planned, then through the massive and beautiful Rif mountains, we arrive at Chefchaouen, one of the most visited places in all Morocco if not in all over the world. Painted blue, this town is a breathtaking places to visit.
We will arrive in your riad, after check in, and then start strolling in the beautiful blue alleyways of the city. Also Ras El ma, an old watering hole, with an entrance to the Medina, is a popular place for both locals and tourists.
Furthermore, the Plaza Uta El-hammam, the main square in Chefchaouen, next to it is also the Kasbah (A walled fortress).
Eventually, when arriving at Tanger, we will drop you at your accommodation, where unfortunately our memorable experience will end.
