ITINERARY: 11 days tour from Casablanca

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL TO CASABLANCA – TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL/RIAD

The We Road Morocco team will be waiting for you at the door of Menara Marrakech Airport. Upon meeting them, they will escort you to your hotel or riad, typically situated either in the old medina or the new city.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

After breakfast at the hotel, our journey begins with a tour of Morocco’s largest city. A highlight is the Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993 with a 210-meter tall minaret, one of the tallest in the world. We then proceed to Rabat to visit Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the 12th-century Kasbah of the Udayas, offering insights into Morocco’s historical and cultural richness. Later, we drive through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the picturesque “Blue City,” where you can explore the serene blue and white-washed medina at your leisure.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Depart Chefchaouen for Fes via Volubilis, an ancient Roman town. Explore the ruins, then visit Meknes to see Bab Mansour and the Sahrij Swani. Continue to Fes and overnight in a riad.

Day 4: Fes Sightseeing

Guided tour of Fes includes the Royal Palace, Mellah (Jewish quarter), University of Al-Qaraouine, Chouara Tannery, and the old souks. Visit Moroccan pottery and ceramics craftsmen. Overnight in Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Depart Fes for Merzouga. En route, visit Ifrane, Cedar Forests of Azrou, and Midelt. Stop at Ziz Valley and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga. Overnight in Merzouga.

Day 6: Sahara Desert Excursion

Explore Merzouga with a Jeep tour, visiting nomad families, M’ifis mascara mountain mine, and Khamlia village for Gnawa music and Berber pizza. Walk in Sahara Oasis and camel trek to desert camp for overnight stay and Berber music around the fire.

Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Toudra Gorge – Dades Valley

Witness sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Visit Rissani’s market, then Toudra Gorge for rock climbing views. Drive to Dades Valley for overnight stay with dinner.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Travel through Rose Valley, Skoura, and Ouarzazate, visiting Atlas film studios and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Cross High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’Tichka Pass to Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 9: Marrakech Sightseeing

Explore Marrakech with a local guide, visiting Jamaa El-Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. Wander the medina’s narrow streets and souks. Visit Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10: Day Trip to Essaouira

Day trip to Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. Explore historical walls, blue-white architecture, souks, and enjoy fresh fish at a local restaurant. Walk along the beach before returning to Marrakech.

Day 11: Transfer to Casablanca Airport

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight, concluding your 11-day adventure in Morocco.
