ITINERARY: 12 days tour from Casablanca
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA
Upon your arrival, our driver/guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Casablanca. Take some time to relax and recuperate from your journey.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA - RABAT
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our exploration of Casablanca, starting with the iconic Hassan II Mosque. Completed in 1993, its minaret stands at 210 meters (689 feet) and can accommodate up to 105,000 worshippers. We then proceed to Rabat to visit the historic landmarks including Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the 12th-century Kasbah of the Udayas. Stroll through Rabat’s medina to experience local daily life. Overnight in Rabat.
DAY 3: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FEZ
After spending the night in Rabat, we depart for Fez. En route, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis, renowned for its Roman ruins dating back to the 3rd century BC. Continuing our journey, we stop at Meknes to explore the Bab Mansour gate, the vibrant Place Lehdim, the Sahrij Souani Basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Arrive in Fez for overnight stay.
DAY 4: FEZ SIGHTSEEING
Following breakfast at your riad, meet your local guide to explore Fez. Begin at the Royal Palace, then visit the Jewish quarter (Mellah) with its 17th-century synagogue. Discover the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, founded as a mosque and one of the oldest educational institutions in the world. Experience the Chouara Tannery, known for its leather products, and wander through the bustling souks of the Medina. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant and visit a local pottery workshop. Return to your hotel/riad for overnight in Fez.
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Depart Fes for Merzouga. En route, visit Ifrane, Cedar Forests of Azrou, and Midelt. Stop at Ziz Valley and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga. Overnight in Merzouga.
Day 6: Sahara Desert Excursion
Explore Merzouga with a Jeep tour, visiting nomad families, M’ifis mascara mountain mine, and Khamlia village for Gnawa music and Berber pizza. Walk in Sahara Oasis and camel trek to desert camp for overnight stay and Berber music around the fire.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Toudra Gorge – Dades Valley
Witness sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Visit Rissani’s market, then Toudra Gorge for rock climbing views. Drive to Dades Valley for overnight stay with dinner.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Travel through Rose Valley, Skoura, and Ouarzazate, visiting Atlas film studios and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Cross High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’Tichka Pass to Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech Sightseeing
Explore Marrakech with a local guide, visiting Jamaa El-Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. Wander the medina’s narrow streets and souks. Visit Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 10: Day Trip to Essaouira
Day trip to Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. Explore historical walls, blue-white architecture, souks, and enjoy fresh fish at a local restaurant. Walk along the beach before returning to Marrakech.
DAY 11: ESSAOUIRA – SAFI – OUALIDIA – EL JADIDA – CASABLANCA
After breakfast in Essaouira, depart for Casablanca. Along the way, stop at Safi and Oualidia for lunch and explore the old medina of El Jadida, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Arrive in Casablanca for overnight stay.
Day 12: Transfer to the Airport
Our driver will transfer you to Casablanca airport for your departure flight.
