Overview
This 7-day tour from Tangier covers some of Morocco’s most captivating cities and landscapes. The journey begins in Tangier and takes you through the scenic Rif mountains to the charming blue town of Chefchaouen. From there, you’ll explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, the imperial city of Meknes, and the cultural heart of Fes. The tour continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, with its rich history and vibrant souks. Finally, you’ll visit the modern city of Casablanca and the capital city of Rabat before returning to Tangier. The tour includes guided city tours, comfortable accommodations, and transportation in a private vehicle with a knowledgeable driver/guide.

THE ITINERARY OF 7 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGER
DAY 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN
From the ferry or airport in Tanger, we will pick you up and start to drive Chefchaouen, one of the stunning villages in the feet of Rif mountains. Chefchaouen Medina (old part of the city) with its blue color became one of the best towns to visit in Morocco surrounded by many funky arts, crafts stores, rooftop restaurants, and cafes. Night in Chefchaouen.
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ
After your breakfast in the riad, we will drive to visit the Volubilis site, the Roman ruins. Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the largest and most important archaeological sites in Morocco, built-in a fertile agricultural area and developed from the 3rd century BC. Then we are going to continue towards the city of Meknes, where you are going to see the famous historical gate of Bab Mansour, also the second known plaza in Morocco after the plaza of Jamaa El-fna in Marrakech, the plaza of Lehdim. Next, you are going to see the Basin of Sahrij Souani and explore the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Later on, we head to Fez city where we will spend the night.
DAY 3: FEZ SIGHTSEEING
After your breakfast at your riad, you meet your local guide and the exploration of Fez begins. You start with the Royal Palace, founded back to the foundation of the new Fez. Then Mellah, the Jewish quarter, where you see a 17th-century synagogue. Also the University of Al-Qaraouine, founded as a Mosque, then became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the historic Muslim world. As well as, Chouara Tannery, the largest and oldest medina quarter of the city, surrounded by leather shops with terraces from where you look down into the pits. Furthermore, you will take a walk around the old souks (markets) of Fez and wander between the narrow alleys of the old Medina. Have an amazing lunch in one of the narrow streets in the heart of the old Medina. After that, you drive to the north highest place in Fez, from where you will have an incredible view of the old Medina, in addition to visiting the Moroccan Pottery and Ceramics with real professional local craftsmen. Later on, we will pick you up back to your hotel/riad and spend the night in Fez.
Day 4: FES – BENI MELLAL – MARRAKECH
Depart after breakfast and drive to Marrakech across the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Beni-Mellal, the largest town in the Middle Atlas, for lunch. Giant cedar forests, volcanic mountains, strings of lakes, and plains producing oranges, olives, and sugar cane line the road. Along the way, visit Ifrane, a ski resort full of Alpine chalets with red-tiled roofs.
DAY 5: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING
In the morning at 09:30am, your local guide will be waiting for you at the reception of your hotel/riad. Your guide will accompany and show you all the historical sites of the red city Marrakech, including Jamaa El-Fna Square, one of the main cultural spaces in Marrakech founded in the 11th century and considered one of the busiest squares in the world. Additionally, you will visit the Saadian dynasty (1578 – 1603) tombs. You will also explore the Bahia Palace, one of Marrakech’s most impressive buildings, built at the end of the 19th century and intended to be the most eye-catching palace of all time. Moreover, you’ll see the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque, the most important and largest worship place at that time. Later on, you will stroll inside the narrow streets of the old Medina “Old city”, and visit Souks/Markets. After lunch in one of the restaurants in the old Medina, you will hit the road to the modern area, visiting Majorelle Garden and the YSL Museum. Afterward, you will be picked up and returned to your hotel/riad.
Day 6: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA – RABAT
Depart to Casablanca and visit the Hassan II Mosque. Later, we will see the coastal “Cornish” seaside where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, we lead to Rabat and spend the night in the Riad.
Day 7: RABAT – ASILAH – TANGIER
After breakfast in your Riad, if your flight departs late afternoon, you will start with a 2-hour visit of Hassan Mosque, a wonder of the medieval Moorish world with its great minaret left unfinished when its founder died in 1199, the Chellah necropolis, and Oudaya Kasbah. Depart to the airport (you need to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight, so your departure will be organized accordingly).
